Communications Committee

Mission Statement

Members of LaBrae’s Board of Education are representatives of the people in the district. Recognizing the Board’s leadership and policymaking roles with in the district, the LaBrae Communications Committee members would like to extend and strengthen effective communication with community members, community organizations and/or businesses.

 

Goal:

The Communication Committee will provide the opportunity to further open the lines of communication between the community and school.

To achieve this goal, the following objectives will be met:

  • This committee will gather and organize questions/concerns from individual members of the community.
  • The community liaison and board president will gather web site questions the Thursday before the Communication Committee meets.
  • The committee will meet the Monday before the week of the regular board meeting to identify or clarify any concerns.
  • Questions and concerns will be submitted to the Superintendent for review the Tuesday following the Communications Committee meeting so that questions can be fully and appropriately addresses at the regular board meetings by the Superintendent and/or board president.
  • A list of questions will be kept on file in the Superintendent’s office.
