Good Morning, LaBrae Vikings! These are your morning announcements for:

Monday, September 18, 2017. Here’s what’s happening:

Attention all student council members:  Please pick up and return homecoming ballots to Mr. Hampton in Mr. Coxe’s room.

Attention Seniors:  There will be a Senior meeting today during lunch in room 908. 

Just a reminder that Homecoming Court Voting will take place today and Wednesday of this week.

Homecoming Tickets will go on sale on this Wednesday. Tickets are $8.  If you are planning on bringing an outside guest you must get a guest form for approval from Mr. Hampton in room 907B.

Attention Sophomores:  Order your sophomore t-shirt in Mrs. Farone's room, 919.  Shirts are $10 each.  Add $1 for 2 and 3 XL.  Orders must be placed by this Friday.

Attention Spanish club members: the Spanish club meeting is today during lunch.

Saturday the Cross Country team competed at the Boardman Invitational where Jakob Rose placed 12th out of 407 runners.  We would also like to congratulate Cole Faler, BriAnna Saner and Alexis Collins on beating their personal records.

Thursday, September 14, 2017. Here’s what’s happening:

Just a reminder that the homecoming game is on Friday, October 6 and the dance is Saturday, October 7.

Homecoming Court Voting will take place at the beginning of first period on Monday, and Wednesday of next week.

Homecoming Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, September 20! Tickets are $8.  If you are planning on bringing an outside guest you must get a guest form for approval from Mr. Hampton in room 907B.

If you signed up for SADD there is mandatory meeting on Friday during lunch in room 922.

Juniors, there will be a class meeting this Friday in the art room after school for anyone interested in decorating the hallway. 

Attention Spanish club members the Spanish club meeting has been changed to Monday during lunch.

The Lady Vikings recorded another victory in front of the home crowd by defeating

Jefferson 6-1.  Aryana Hartman had a hat trick, Haley Hazinakis scored 2 and Marissa Roberts had one.  Marissa also had 2 assists.  Hannah Hill had 3 saves and Faith Hartman had 1.  The Lady Vikings are now 4-3 and 3-0 in the AAC.  They will travel to Champion on Monday.  JV will play at 5:30

Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Here’s what’s happening:

Those students who drive to school:  Drivers are no longer permitted to drive to school without a parking permit.

If you signed up for SADD there is mandatory meeting on Friday during lunch in room 922.

Attention current National Honor Society members: There will be a meeting today during lunch in room 924. We will be electing officers and discussing this year's Buddy Walk. 

Attention all freshmen who are helping to plan Spirit week. There will be a meeting during lunch in Señora Fee's room on today to finalize plans.

Attention Spanish club members, there will be an important meeting on Friday during lunch in Señora Fee's room. You will be voting for this year's officers and discussing activities for the year.

The library is officially open.

The LaBrae Lady Vikings Varsity Soccer team posted another shutout Monday night

in front of their home crowd by defeating Maplewood 6 - 0.  Marissa Roberts scored

4 goals and Paige Wilson and Emma Jones each had 1.  Haley Hazinakis had 2 assists and Paige Wilson and Desi Allen had 1 each.  Hannah Hill had 4 saves.

The Lady Vikings are now 3-3 and 2-0 in the AAC.  Their next game is at home on

tonight against Jefferson.  

Congratulations to  the varsity boys cross country team for placing 2nd overall at the Suburban league meet at Badger last night.  Jakob Rose came in 1st place, Zach Meyer 12th, Adam Nottingham 15th and Connor Meyer 16th out of 125 runners.

Chloe Rose finished 19th and Ariell Groubert finished 21st of 105 runners.  

Great job to: Connor Meyer, Austin Stassinis, Cole Faler, Joe Cusimano, Brady Phillips, Mathew Biery, Colin Price, Ariell Groubert and Mikaela Thompson .  All for beating their personal records

The LaBrae Lady Vikings Soccer Team shut out Struthers last night on their first home game of the season.  Scoring for the Lady Vikings were Marissa Roberts with 4 goals, Aryana Hartman with 2 goals and each scoring a goal was Taylor Hall, Ashley White, Haley Hazinakis, Kaylie Klotzbach, Alyssa Huscroft, Paige Wilson, and Desi Allen. Paige Wilson also had 2 assists and Ashley White, Haley Hazinakis and Aryana Hartman each had 1.  Hannah Hill was in the goal for the Lady Vikings and did not need to make a save.  The Lady Vikings are now 2-0 in the AAC.  Their next game is home on Monday at 7pm against Maplewood.

Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Here’s what’s happening:

Attention all Freshman who want to help out with Spirit Week. You will be meeting today in Señora Fee's room during lunch to vote on a theme and discuss hallway decorations.  Please bring your lunch to room 918 as quickly as possible so we will have sufficient time to discuss Spirit Week.

Attention Sophomores:  There will be a sophomore class meeting on Friday during lunch in Mrs. Farone's room to discuss spirit week plans. Any questions please see Mrs. Gibson.

There will be a student council meeting in the lounge across from the Cafeteria during lunch tomorrow.

The Cross Country team is having a clothing and decal sale.  Please see coach Whitfield or coach Schuster for the order form.  Clothing sale ends September 7th.

Attention Students:  There will be a back to school glow party on Sunday, September 10 at the Leavittsburg Church of God.  There will be fun games, food and giveaways.  See Lexi Smith if you have any questions.

Attention FRESHMAN class officers!  There will be a very important meeting in Señora Fee's room (rm 918) during lunch on Friday.  Bring your lunch to Señora Fee's room for the meeting. If you can't make it, make sure to stop by before Friday to get important information.

Attention Student Council Members:  There will be a student council meeting in room 907B, on Tuesday, September 5^th, during lunch, for all members of student council.

Though the library will not open (officially) until September 11^th, the search is on for Students Library Assistants.  If you would like to serve as a Student Assistant during your study hall period, please see Mrs. Sturgeon ASAP.

Last night the cross country team competed at the McDonald Suburban meet.  We would like to congratulate Jakob Rose who came in 3rd place, Zach Meyer 13th place, Adam Nottingham 24th place and Connor Meyer 25th place out of 159 runners.

We would also like to congratulate Austin Stassinis, Cole Faler, Joe Cusimano, Matt Biery, Zoe Bechdel, BriAnna Saner, Ariell Groubert, Alexis Collins and Kristen Corvin for beating their personal records

This year’s homecoming game will be October 6.  And the dance will be the October 7^th.
